Hello there! Thank you so much for your interest in my art. I’ve been an artist for 30 years. I’ve always loved making art as far back as I can remember. I’ve been a painter for 19 years and have enjoyed sharing my art in galleries around the US and US Virgin Islands.
Tattooing has become one of my favorite art mediums. I specialize in Black and Grey realism with heavy interest in tattooing portraiture, and divine artwork inspired by spiritual philosophies from around the world, including mandalas and deities. I love using geometrical aspects and Art Nouveau influences in pieces. The purpose of my art has always been to inspire unity, understanding, perspective, higher vibrations, and to empathize with the human experience.
12 years ago, I gave birth to my favorite little creation ever, Kasper Nesta. He’s the light of my life, and my ultimate inspiration. Kas is such a compassionate, loving, magical and creative soul. I believe I discovered what unconditional love meant when I met him. Being a parent gives me a sense of gratitude, mortality, purpose, drive and love like no other experience really ever has. For him I will always be humbled and thankful. I’m exited to see him grow and evolve over time.
PADĖKOS means Gratitude in Lithuanian, inspired by my Grandfather Sykes’ heritage. Honestly, all my Grandparents and my Parents were among my greatest inspirations in sharing their perspectives via art through love and kindness. This site is my way of expressing my gratitude, growth, and experiences the best as I can through my art. It’s my way of giving back to the community, and hope that the positive vibes will keep rippling out.
I’m grateful for all the experiences the tattoo industry has offered me. I look forward to continue to travel and always keep learning and growing.
Tattoos and other art work are available through the Tattoos & Mixed Media portfolios. I will continue to post a current updated list of my travels Please visit the FAQ section. This is where you’ll find tips on how to prepare and what to bring to make your tattoo experience more comfortable, what to bring to a consultation and how to set up appointments with me. I’ll also list some of my favorite aftercare products and tips. I’m excited to share my creative journey with others through this site with blogs, portfolios, travel schedules, drawings, paintings, art shows, charity events and articles/art that inspire me.
I live in South Carolina, with my husband and muse Evan Roosmann. He is always inspiring me in our art, and to be the best version of myself. Now that I am settled, I’ve started the volunteer process with local battered women’s shelters. It’s something I’ve been passionate about for years. I am excited to share my time and talents with children. I love showing them that creating art can be such a wonderful outlet to get the angst out, and any feelings honestly. Making art has always made me feel euphoric, and has consistently been one of my favorite kinds of therapy. I know I’ve always felt that I have been able to produce some of my best art during some of the darkest times in my life. I believe there is always a positive side to everything. This is where I’m able to channel the most real/raw emotions through creating abstract/pours/drawings /paintings/hand sewing/ crafting etc.
I will be doing tattoos for charity bi yearly to raise money for local battered women’s shelters, and for one of my favorite non-profits, Seven Minus Seven. 7-7, which I have linked here, is a non-profit art alliance started in the Caribbean by a friend of mine, Clay Lindol Jones. He is such an inspiring artist and individual. Although I’m living in the states again, I have continued to donate to this program, and am so excited to donate more through this website. I will be giving a portion of all the artwork for sale, and commissioned pieces, through this site to 7-7.
If you are curious about 7-7, click the link in the yellow box.
Thank you for sharing this journey with me.
